· Yes, you canuseAAAimmediately after joining and making your initial payment. If you get an AAA Plus or Premier plan, you will have to wait seven days before extended benefits are available, according to some regional AAA clubs, but you’ll still benefit from AAA Basic coverage in the meantime.
· AAA Emergency Roadside Service benefits are available 48 hours after you first purchase your Membership. However, you can pay a $75 fee to waive the waiting period and get help right away.
· If you’re a member with Plus ® benefits, you can be towed up to 100 miles to any destination. If you’re a member with Premier ® benefits, you can use 1 of your tows 1 time per household per membership year for up to 200 miles, and up to 100 driving miles for any remaining service calls.
AAA Members can join and obtain road service the same day. A Same Day Service Fee, in addition to the standard AAA membership dues, will be assessed for New or Past Due members in need of roadsideassistance. Road service will be provided at the Basic AAA coverage level at the time of enrollment.
In order to protect your identity, please present your AAA Membership Card and Driver’s License to the AAA Service Driver when they arrive at your location. If you do not have your Driver's License, please call AAAimmediately.
· AAA vs roadside assistance: which is better? Drivers can add roadside assistance to most personal auto policies (like a GEICO or Progressive policy), or they can buy a secondary policy through a company like AAA, AARP, Good Sam, or FIMC. Each option comes with costs and benefits, including price and coverage differences.
