I have checked with locals and all pretty much agree. I think you have others telling you the same. The power and light district has good nightlife, as does the Plaza. There are motels/hotels close tothestadium too. And east of the stadium are many restaurants off the highway.
I call the ballpark RoyalsStadium, not Kauffman, because that was its name when I saw my first three post-season games in 1977 and 1985.
