· Falltroutstockings are back the weeks of October 20 and October 27 and better than ever before. During these two weeks, the WVDNR will stock more than 40,000 pounds of trophy-size and monster trout at more than 41 lakes and streams around the state.
· CHARLESTON, WV — Gov. Jim Justice announced today the WestVirginia Division of Natural Resources will begin falltroutstockings during the weeks of Oct. 21 and Oct. 28. The third annual Monster Trout Contest will also return at the same time.
· According to a press release from Governor Justice, on the weeks of and , the WestVirginia Division of Natural Resources will start falltroutstockings and the third annual Monster Trout Contest will return for another year.
· With monster trout, prizes, and two full weeks of fishing, WestVirginia’s falltroutstockings promise outdoor adventure and excitement for anglers of all ages.

· In November and December, the WVDNR will stocktrout on the Elk River in Webster County for the second year. These stockings, which are part of a program to evaluate the economic impact of troutstocking, will occur at usual stocking locations.
WestVirginia’s falltroutstockings in 2025 are scheduled for the weeks of October 20 and October 27. During these two weeks, we will stock 41 waters around the state once each week, which means you’ll have even more opportunities to catch trout.
