But an armed militia’s involvement in an angry protest in theMichigan statehouse Thursday marked an escalation that drew condemnation and shone a spotlight on the practice of bringing weapons to protest.
We are seeing militias begin to rise up and do what they are supposed to do: protect the public from the tyranny of the police. In Michigan, a militiagroup is vowing to protect a barber who refuses to close his shop from the order followers and police tyranny.
Michigan has a long history of white supremacist organizations and violence. Although private armed militias are not protected under the United States Constitution, they have been free to flourish across the country. Many militia members have ties to the police, who look the other way.

Some of these groups deny being anti-government extremists. On the Three Percenters website, the organization states: “We are NOT a militia.” But a consistent thread among such groups is the idea that people should be prepared for an armed struggle against the government.
TheMichiganMilitia is going to split between the those who have voted out the Van Huizen-Wayne regime and those who still support it. Wayne has doubtless already "worked with" the FiBbIes, BATF, and ADL to sell names to put on the regimeist's lists.
