Since all of our members benefit from knowing how actively other members are using the site, we do not currently provide a way to turn off the Activity Status for your profile. The member has been active up to 45 minutes ago. The member's last activity was between 46 minutes and 24 hours ago.
· To maintain your privacy while dating on Match, simply navigate to your account settings and disable the greendot feature. This way, you can keep your online presence discreet and focus on connecting with potential matches without any distractions.
The next time you look at someone you know, you'll see a green status dot next to their profile photo. This greendot means they're currently online and it might be a good time to talk to them.
· There are a few workarounds that can help protect your privacy on Match.com without breaking the bank. You may not be able to go full-blown incognito, but you can tweak your privacy settings to maintain a semblance of anonymity.
Although you're free to adjust your profile visibility whenever you'd like, we don't currently have a feature that allows you to selectively hide or make your profile visible to specific members.
· The greendot on Match chat signifies that a user is currently active or has been recently active on the Match platform. It serves as a real-time, or near real-time, indicator of their online presence, letting other users know they might be available for communication.
