· Pharmacy Technicians are not required general continuing education at this time. NEW Beginning with renewals on and after , Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians are required at least 1 hour of participation every two years in a culturalcompetency and humility course.
In addition to our usual free HIPAA course, we have included a CulturalCompetencycourse we developed specifically to meet the needs of CApharmacyTechs and meets the requirements set by the CA Board of Pharmacy!
· Starting , pharmacy technicians, pharmacists, and advance practice pharmacists renewing their licenses must complete at least one hour of CulturalCompetency Continuing Education (CE).
· This activity will explore factors affecting culturalcompetency in healthcare and present different models for describing and understanding the concept. Participants will be provided with methods for self-assessment and suggestions for providing culturallycompetent care in the pharmacy.
· Pharmacy technicians must complete specific culturalcompetency training hours as part of their CE requirements. These requirements aim to improve patient care quality for diverse populations.
