To back up and sync your device and sim contacts, save them as google contacts:
On your android phone or tablet, open the settings app.
Tap google services and preferences all.
Add a contact on your android device, open the contacts app.
At the bottom right, tap add.
Enter the contact's name and an email or phone number.
