Like many others, remote play was a horrible experience for me so i didn't think the portal would work well.
I decided to try it out anyway and i was pleasantly surprised to find out that it works.

Another alternative is remote utilities, it has a client (the pc used to remote control another machine) and host software to be installed, is free (but the client is limited to 10 hosts.
