· BexarCounty (home to SanAntonio) uses a unique system called the PresidingCourt to manage civil cases—including personal injury and wrongful death lawsuits.
· If you have a civil case in BexarCounty, Texas, you should be familiar with the BexarCountyPresidingCourt system. Other counties assign a case to a specific court when the initial documents are filed. BexarCounty, however, follows a centralized docketing system.
Whether it’s midnight on a Saturday or early morning on a holiday, a BexarCountymagistrate is available to hear cases and start the legalprocess. For real-time updates or hearing requests, contact the CentralMagistrate Division directly.
In BexarCounty, however, family law cases are managed through something called the PresidingCourt system. This means you won’t have a “permanent” judge. Instead, the presidingjudges rotate in and out each month, and your hearings can be assigned to any available judge.
