While many fields are connected to an existing concentration, some are multi-disciplinary and are not directly affiliated with an existing concentration. Below, we have compiled short overviews of each to help you explore your academic interests.

Last spring, Harvard’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences approved double concentrations for undergraduate students. This forged a path for students to pursue the full requirements of two completely separate concentrations in a way that was not designed in jointconcentrations or secondary fields.

Jointconcentrations are honors-track programs. Each field recommends honors separately, and in most circumstances the minimum recommendation takes precedence. The primaryfield (the first-listedconcentration) is ultimately responsible for the English honors recommendation, however.
