To accommodate passenger and freight volumes and to ensure that passenger service con nues to run smoothly and reliably, Union Pacifi c and Metra entered into a partner-ship in 2008 to develop the MetraUP-W Line Improvement Project (to be completed in four phases).
With the new schedule, inbound trains 66 through 72 will add a stop at Kedzie, and weekday outbound trains 65 through 11 will do the same. On the weekends, all trains will now stop at the Kedzie, Maywood, and Melrose Park stations.
